COSIMA

Graduate Diploma 24/25

About

Cosima (1989) is a multi-disciplinary artist of Alpine and Mediterranean origins creating sculptures that are mutable, organic or imply movement, as well as performances and installations. Interested in the dynamic and evolving nature of form, she explores materiality, space, time and the physical and symbolic resonance of these elements.

The driving force is a will to celebrate multiplicity and metamorphosis, as well as a pursuit of the transcendent; to find the timeless, meaningful, and deeply felt within the everyday. Primarily an act of care, it is also an act of resistance; against the classifications and rhythms of capitalist and patriarchal systems that have severed us from embodied and ancestral knowledge, disrupting the communal and cyclical.
