Ruixiao Li

Interior Design (MA)

About

I’m Ruixiao Li, a stage and spatial designer from China. I studied stage design at Shanghai Theatre Academy and am completing my MA in Interior Design at the Royal College of Art. My background in scenography shapes my interest in how space, narrative, and audience experience intersect.

My graduation project, Core Act, reimagines the central core of an office tower in Canary Wharf as a vertical immersive theatre. Designed as a flexible infrastructure, it allows different performances to unfold across multiple floors. The project transforms a leftover architectural element into a dynamic spatial system — connecting stories, movement, and public imagination within the rigid logic of a commercial high-rise.
