边诗英是一位中国艺术家,她以材料为主导的创作实践,探索如何通过玻璃和瓷器来体现季节的韵律和无常。她的作品以中国二十四节气——一种观察时间的循环框架——为灵感,展现自然界静谧的变迁:春回大地前的解冻,冬日阳光的静谧,落叶上积聚的湿气。
她的装置作品融合了铸造玻璃、灯工细丝和手工成型的瓷器,创造出平衡脆弱与重量、动静的空间构图。她着迷于材料之间的对比与张力——它们如何屈服或抵抗、如何开裂或流动——以及这些材料行为如何呼应时间和季节的微妙变化。
她的创作实践源于对事物变化的静谧关注——光线如何弯曲,材料如何断裂变形,时间如何在形态中留下痕迹。受崇尚和谐、逆转和循环流动的哲学思想的影响,她的作品拒绝线性发展,而倾向于将转化作为一种思考和创作的方式。
她并非将材料视为工具,而是聆听它们的行为——允许瓷器破裂,玻璃变形,粘土在自身重量下下垂。在这个展开的过程中,思想与物质共同演进。她的方法栖息于传统与创新、永恒与崩塌之间。
诗英近期在皇家艺术学院毕业展、Small Gallery的“振荡”以及2025年伦敦设计节期间在Blackdot Gallery的“没人教过我这个”展览中展出。她的作品还被收录于伦敦The Handbag Factory的“静谧的回声”展览、Purist Gallery的“非重复性循环”展览以及LumiNoir艺术展。她将于2025年登上《ArtistCloseup》杂志。诗英目前居住在伦敦。
