About

As a designer and maker who focuses on the synergy of 2 dimensional and 3 dimensional media, I explore the intersection of words through the lens of materiality. My fascination with linguistics through material processes show typography as both medium and message.

My primary method of communication is through making, I am able to speak with my hands to form a creative language which expresses my inner self. My background in graphic design remains deeply embedded in my sculptural practice, from primary paper based printed matter to 3 dimensional forms. At its core my work seeks to deconstruct text and liberate it from traditional meaning using the tactile qualities of shape and form as the foundation for expression – the basics of learning as a child.

Motherhood has had a profound impact on my core values, reshaping both body and mind. Viewing the world through the eyes of a child; uninhibited, curious, and sensory-driven, transformed how I think, perceive, and create.

I foster a practice rooted in minimalist principles, which emphasises precision, materiality and composition. Concrete poetry, Bruno Munari and John Cage have deeply influenced my thinking and way of making.

I aim to create pieces that feel honest and familiar, to be exciting yet inclusive is key to my practice.
