Samantha Sobhani

Painting (MA)

About

Samantha Sobhani was born in London UK in 1974

At the heart of Samantha’s work is a continuing investigation of invisible energies and relationships between forms and space.Through abstract interpretations of the biomorphic and geometric landscape, Sobhani wants to invite viewers to delve into the visual dance and lyricism of life, nature and the subconscious.

Drawing from both the intuitive, automatic methods and the observational is fundamental to her practice, whether works on paper, painting or print making. As an informed, meditative process, sharpening focus brings a sensitivity towards interconnections between objects, plants and the observer in a continuing dramatisation of the plight to stay alive.

Sobhani studied art foundation at Norwich University Of The Arts, BA Fine Art at Falmouth University in Cornwall, Turps Correspondence Course and MA Painting at Royal College of Art.
