My understanding is that art holds things in the world hostage. There is responsibility in the sense that you shouldn’t make a mess of something that didn’t need to happen.

Recent work has involved setting up a scenario where a confrontation with painting occurs where it is least expected to amount to anything, taking on a less visible presence..

Painting is familiar already, maybe it can be made even more familiar so it can disappear as well as appear?
