About

Zhengyu creates art to represent the beauty of existence, driven by the belief that recognizing and being moved by this beauty is a shared human experience. Her work focuses on the unintentional and spontaneously occurring parts of the world — those poetic moments, particularly in nature. Through painting, printmaking, and yarn, her works invite touch and connection.

Her artworks serve as a form of gentle escapism, providing isolation from the modern world and seeking solace in the reserved natural world. Her practice is a journey of self-discovery that is not just personal narrative; it resonates with universal themes of searching for identity and belonging in a rapidly changing world.

“I hope my artworks can bring quiet, humble strength to the world — and to myself.”
