About

Jonas Kurauskas (b. 2001) is a Lithuanian artist currently based in London. His work spans photography, drawing, and zine making to explore the nuances of human interaction and identity through humor, curiosity, and a subtle sense of absurdity. By capturing spontaneous moments within personal relationships and everyday scenes, Jonas uncovers emotional layers often overlooked in ordinary experiences. His images are characterized by their balance between authenticity and intentionality, inviting viewers into a reflective dialogue about their own lives.

Grounded in psychological insight and an intuitive approach, his practice draws from both personal and cultural observation. Exposure to Catholic imagery and an interest in iconography inform his visual language. His engagement with zine making emerges as a tactile, instinctive extension of his image making, one of his publications, “untitled relations (2025)”, was presented at Offprint London 2025 at Tate Modern.
