Xi Xu
About
Xi Xu is a communication designer, visual designer, and artist. She completed her undergraduate studies in Communication Design at Monash University in Australia. Her work spans across media, encompassing visual storytelling, brand development, and interactive design. She believes that design is not only a form of visual presentation but also a thoughtful response to social phenomena and cultural issues.
She participated in a project aimed at improving navigation within university libraries through application design. By conducting comprehensive user research and analysis, the project developed a clear and intuitive information structure alongside smooth interaction models. In addition, she has gained experience in branding, video editing, and animation, contributing to the design of an innovative biodegradable packaging label system that communicates sustainability in a direct and accessible way.
Her personal creative practice focuses on interdisciplinary media, with research interests including non-human perspectives, ecological sustainability, emotional interaction, and multi-sensory experience design. She continues to explore how immersive digital storytelling, installation-based expression, and visual experimentation can challenge conventional design models and promote dialogue between design and social issues.
Her visual language emphasizes narrative and emotional expression, often exploring alternative forms of communication through experimental methods. She maintains an interest in social issues and aims to offer thoughtful and appropriate responses through her design work.
