Yutong Li
About
Li Yutong is a digital artist with a background in visual communication design. Her work often focuses on the theme of humans and nature, exploring anti-anthropocentrism and examining the relationships between humans and non-humans, humans and technology, and humans and nature.
In her latest work, she focuses on the symbiotic relationship between humans and the ocean, combining pagan culture to construct a world filled with mythical elements. She hopes this digital memorial ceremony will serve as an attempt to re-establish the relationship between humans and nature. Drawing on a pantheistic worldview—where humans are not the ‘crown of creation’ but rather a part of nature, coexisting with other spiritual beings—and pagan ritualistic elements, we have created an immersive space that is tangible, audible, and sensory, allowing audiences not only to “know” but also to ‘feel.’
