In her practice, she consistently attends to the subtle dynamics of control and resistance in everyday life, expressing concerns around the body, emotion, and social structure through a calm and refined visual language. With a restrained aesthetic, she incorporates empathy, precision and critical awareness into her creations, responding keenly to the structural issues latent in contemporary social experience.

About
Yuxin Liu is a cross-media artist working between London and Wuhan. Her practice spans 3D digital animation, immersive space, and interactive installation, focusing on bodily experience, gender politics, and the affective structures of care under contemporary systems. She draws from feminist theory, emotional labor, and techno-social critique to reframe how invisible forms of domestic and emotional work are experienced, represented, and valued.
Her RCA graduate work, HER HOUSE, explores the architecture of unpaid labor and hidden exhaustion within everyday domestic life. Built through interviews, motion tracking, and collaborative storytelling, the project reconstructs the ordinary home as a multi-layered digital space haunted by repetition, gendered expectation, and intergenerational memory. Liu does not use technology as a tool for visual spectacle, but as a means of social observation and expression—transforming intimate yet often overlooked experiences into shared spaces for reflection and dialogue.
