Aibei Wu graduated from Lu Xun Academy of Fine Arts in China with a major in Digital Media Art. She is currently pursuing a Master’s degree in Information Experience Design at the Royal College of Art. Her creative practice centers on the relationship between art and social life, often utilizing speculative and satirical methods to engage in critical examinations of reality.
During her Master’s studies, she has explored the interaction between individuals and systems by integrating programming with human pose estimation technologies. Her body of work includes wearable devices, interactive design, and performance-based video art. Drawing upon her cultural background, she seeks to conduct in-depth research addressing complex issues within contemporary society.
Aibei Wu prefers to create works that are both playful and participatory, emphasizing immersive experiences for audiences. These works are characterized by their accessibility and immediacy, while simultaneously encouraging thoughtful reflection, which remains central to her artistic approach.
