Information Experience Design (MA)

About

I’m Juliette, a designer working across visual communication, research, and spatial and participatory practices. My background is in Graphic Communication Design (BA, Central Saint Martins) and Information Experience Design (MA, RCA), and my work often sits at the intersection of people, place, and systems – particularly how we make sense of complexity through designed experiences.

I’m interested in design as a way of listening: to environments, to communities, to the quieter signals that often go unnoticed. My process is usually collaborative and research-led, shaped by a mix of fieldwork, dialogue, and material exploration.

Recently, I developed a project called Micro-sonic Earth: Listening with Others, through workshops with young people at WEST Youth Zone. It grew out of shared walks and recordings in Hammersmith Park, focusing on the hidden ecologies of the site. The installation uses layered sound and vibration to create a space for embodied listening, asking how we might attune ourselves to environmental change not just intellectually, but emotionally and somatically. It draws on Pauline Oliveros’ ideas of deep listening, and asks what kinds of sonic engagement help us feel, rather than fear, ecological transformation.

Outside of design work, I’m often recharging through slow activities: walking, meditating, or reading. These rhythms tend to feed back into how I work steadily, and with care.
