About

Liangchen Liu is a digital media artist and researcher specializing in 3D animation, experimental video, and immersive storytelling. Her work focuses on the aesthetic mechanisms of sociology and emotional relationships, exploring how digital culture reshapes intimacy, desire, and identity.

Based between London and Guangzhou and a graduate of the Royal College of Art, Liu creates immersive experiences using Unreal Engine, motion capture, and generative sound. Her recent projects delve into themes such as emotional gambling, performative affection, and the blurred boundaries between audience and character, presented through interactive installations and experimental moving images.

Combining personal narrative with critical theory, Liu’s cross-media practice invites viewers to confront the vulnerability, illusion, and performativity embedded in mediated emotional experiences.
