Meijia Lou
About
LOU is a drifter between authenticity and artifice; meaning and marketing…
Her practice unfolds through walking, recording, and the gentle over-interpretation of London’s surfaces. As an outsider navigating a city of textures, she asks: Can emotional connection begin with a crack in a wall?
Blending architectural theory, migration studies, and a bit of poetic stubbornness, Lou turns overlooked materials into narrative devices—brick becomes memory, ambient noise becomes emotional layering, and urban drifting becomes game logic. Her latest project, Dear Brick Wall, is a narrative game where players don’t fight monsters—they wandering.
Working across interactive media, installation, and annotated cartographies, Lou builds quiet systems of sensing, where disorientation becomes a method, and listening becomes a form of belonging.
