Visual Communication (MA)

About

Radhika Sood is a graphic designer and visual artist working across fashion, music and commercial projects.
She develops printed matter, identities, illustrations, wearables and images for collaborators across spaces of gathering, care, and culture. Her work is grounded in a tactile process shaped by material, context, and craft. She is the founder of Rad Media Rooms, an independent practice that partners with cultural and heritage institutions across India to help sustain legacy brands in contemporary art and design contexts.

Her Independent Research project, Radical Scrubbing, is a creative framework that proposes slowness and ritual as forms of design resistance in an overstimulated, hyper-digital world.
Developed through field research, using walking— as a method, and
craft-led processes, it culminated in a hand-sewn utility belt and a risograph-printed field guide, encouraging tactile engagement with one’s environment. The project blends feminist craft, slow media, and DIY publishing to invite pause, care, and quiet rebellion.

Another key project she developed at the RCA is Doomscroll.
A looping, immersive zine that materialises the digital act of infinite scrolling. Inspired by Alice in Wonderland, its disorienting typesetting and non-linear structure mirror the chaos and compulsion of online consumption. The project explores how print can mimic, critique, and interrupt the rituals of digital life.
