Puyuan Yang (Carrie)
About
Puyuan is a Transdisciplinary Futures Designer who acts as a systems thinker, connector, and convener, weaving together diverse stakeholders to envision and enable futures where communities are empowered, capable, and actively shaping their environments.
She builds on a background in contemporary jewellery design, where her career spanned designer residencies, hands-on education, collaborative projects, and entrepreneurship. She now focuses on participatory design approaches to explore how public interest technologies, ecological transitions, and alternative value systems can reshape society.
Her work uses design as a critical lens to provoke dialogue, challenge dominant assumptions, and prototype inclusive futures with purpose and care.
