Teresa Prima Tangis Pertiwi
About
Prima is a Service Design student dedicated to creating innovative solutions that empower individuals and communities.
She previously collaborated with Transport for London (TfL) on the WoW app — a cycle buddy concept designed to increase women’s confidence to cycle in London by fostering peer support and safer, more inclusive commuting habits.
Her final project, Shift, envisions a more sustainable future for older women in the hospitality sector — many of whom face physically demanding roles well into later life. Shift is a support service that empowers mature hospitality women to transition into lighter, age-resilient careers, enhancing their ability to work safely, plan ahead, and enjoy a better quality of later life. The project focuses on unlocking alternative career paths through personalised guidance and accessible upskilling opportunities.
Prima’s interests lie at the intersection of social impact, work life, women’s empowerment, and education. Her design practice is rooted in empathy, systems thinking, and a deep belief that design can open up new possibilities for people navigating uncertain futures.
