Ceramics & Glass (MA)

alt-text TBA

Making is thought.
Thought is matter.

Clay and glass require careful choreography, an attunement to the environment and the matters at hand; making is a bodily thinking. The works of our 2025 graduates show that an embodied, physical, material-led dance with material is not the use of art to illustrate or to align ‘some-thing’ to ‘this-or-that’ historic lineage but is to unconceal ‘some-thing’ not there prior. What is at play here is a wide variety of methodologies, a broad gamut of voices across art<>design that showcase how a material-led approach takes creative thinking to unknown possibilities and meanings. That following the material allows new perspectives and radical vistas.

To reveal something new to the world, to materialise some-thing.

Thought is matter.
Making is thought.
